My Human (MH) says that dogs are such lovely people.
Maybe it had something to do with The Ride. At the end of November, when the morning was still dark, we found little pieces of biltong when we squeezed into the back of MH’s fully packed Jimny for The Ride.
It was a really long one, but there were a couple of sniff-stops at petrol stations and plenty of time to catch up on sleep. And best of all, we stopped at a place called “Dog Friendly Accommodation” which was truly smells-heaven. The tortoises hissed politely. And the little grey monkeys were so good to run after until they asked us what we thought we were doing. So we turned tail and pretended not to be scared. A bit embarrassing really – but we’d never seen such things before on walks at the Delta Park in The City.
The next day after more sleeping on top of the luggage, we arrived at The Village and I heard MH telling someone that Baxter (my dim brother) and I did so well on the trip. What more does a Beagle Dog want than to be with her Human and to go for a Ride in the Car.
And then The Village has so many truly interesting new smells…and barking choirs to join…familiar Vet’s Choice kibble… and something called the Wandelpad where the Village Dogs take their Humans for exercise and to have conversations.
And that was just the start of the adventure….
