I have found that in the study of minute detail, it’s often about the spaces between the forms which create what reads “real” to the eye. Across all my artwork, I seek out the essence and soul of my subject. It has been an absorbing art adventure of discovery.
A lifetime of lettering, drawing and painting has led me to this distinct art focus – I observe plants and animals, people and beloved pets with a deliberate intention of sharing the wonder of their true nature.
I’m thrilled to have been commissioned by collectors of art locally (and a few overseas) – portraits of plants, animals, people and fur-beloveds primarily.

I have had the privilege of being one of the artists involved in the Grootbos Florilegium, and have works amongst the extraordinary collection of paintings housed in the bespoke Hannerie Wenhold Gallery of Botanical Art at Grootbos Nature Reserve.
A collaboration with Stanford Pen Studios, who handmake exquisite fountain pens of the highest quality, has been an exciting and exacting form of painting on a tiny surface area. These one-off functional art pieces are sold to pen collectors around the world.
